Chile - Day 16

Consistency.

Today after class we went to a famous cementary. When I remember the name of it I'll edit this post. It reminded me a lot of Recoleta in Buenos Aires. Check out some contrasts...

This photo especially reminded me of BA

I love mums.

This picture does not to the statues and sculptures justice.
ARGENTINA

This is SUPER similar to Chile

One of my favorites

Another favorite

It seemed like the city of the dead

Window reflections

Take two things into consideration.
Note my style... what I take pictures of. I'm still the same person. I still love art and sculpture. Naked art fascinates me in the most pure way.
I'm comparing. Both had similar indigenous plants... but Chile had much more live flowers. Both countries have many desaparecidos, but only in Chile I noticed a gorgeous memorial.

Argentina trumps artistically. Maybe I was jsut in shock then too. I had never seen anything like it before - - in cultural of burrial or artistically. Notice also in Argentina that you are able to see the skyscrapers in the background. There was a lot of concrete... and a bazillion cats.

Chile was must more organized, much cleaner, yet still like a maize. Persons were buried in the ground as well as above it. And there were trees!!! The trees took my breath away. There was something familiar and peaceful about this cemetery more than BA.

In one section, I kept escaping. The sunlight was perfect and warm. I could have spent the whole day in that moment.

We ended our day with by our dear friends walking us to the metro. They are so kind. I am incredibly thankful for them. I'm constantly amazed how people are divinely brought together. We so need each other... to keep living, keep serving each other... I'm so blessed.

I tend to have more to say than I think I do.
I realize that as my computer is dying.

Ahhh. L I F E ! Put me amoung the living.
